Verdant Matter

Identity concept, visual system and art direction
Original self-initiated study by Wuren Studio for the fictional Moss Index practice.
The question
The concept needed to make unfamiliar materials approachable. Each sample had to feel intriguing while remaining easy to identify and compare.
The direction
We paired transparent organic forms with a disciplined specimen index. Moss green holds the system together; generous margins give the material room to speak. A compact naming system keeps the unusual shapes easy to follow.
What took shape
The proposed identity brings a specimen-led image language into a clear editorial hierarchy. This case pairs the material study with a naming approach and explains how the same idea could guide catalogue pages and exhibition labels.
